- Set options for prompting, Do not use
default settings, allow programs to access the Internet
as they request access;
- Set option to automatically check for
updates;
- Check for latest updates immediately;
- Test all internet
applications to insure they work properly;
- Test your firewall
with LeakTest;
adjust firewall settings to further lockdown access;
Set option to
automatically start firewall after reboot; test by
rebooting your computer and insuring firewall starts
automatically.

again from the Internet. Go to the Firewall
Testing page.
Keep in mind, that a firewall is only
half of the defense you need on your computer. The
other half is a anti-virus
software.
